Kathy Humphries, Nutritionist and Bethany Rigles, Sociologist join together (again) in 2022 to develop inclusive nutritional health technology products

November, 2022

Scientists and entrepreneurs Bethany Rigles and Kathy Humphries launched their nutritional health technology business, Good Nutrition Ideas (GNI), an Oregon-based registered, Women-owned Business entity in 2022. Drs. Rigles and Humphries have national reputations in the field of health equity. GNI was founded with the vision of improving health and quality of life through innovative, easy-to-use health promotion products based in science.

For people who are seeking to eat food in support of a healthy life, GNI’s My Meals My Way app and other inclusive nutrition programs will serve up individually tailored, trusted, fun and healthy meal plans that are easy to access and incorporate into daily life.

Supporters of GNI’s work currently include the Oregon Department of Human Services: Aging and People with Disabilities, Business Oregon (economic development agency), and the App Factory at Georgia’s Shepherd Center. Previous funders of their research and development work include the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the National Institutes of Health, Special Olympics International, and the Administration for Community Living.

GNI provides flexible and novel nutrition products and training services for people with diverse and sometimes complex dietary needs, with an emphasis on serving older adults, people with disabilities, and support providers.

Community involvement is a key development practice for GNI. They believe in the co-creation concept of “Nothing about us without us!” To get involved with GNI and the innovative support products coming, visit their webpage at http://goodnutritionideas.org
